What is an MJOP?

An MJOP (Meerjarenonderhoudsplan) is a long-term building maintenance plan required by Dutch law for all homeowners associations (VvE). It documents the condition of your building, forecasts maintenance costs over 10 to 25 years, and is mandatory for your reserve fund. Without an up-to-date MJOP, your HOA cannot meet its legal obligations under Dutch housing law.

📋
Legally required
Dutch law (Article 126a Woningwet) requires every VvE to have a valid MJOP or reserve at least 0.5% of rebuild value per year.
🏦
Bank accepted
Our NEN2767-certified reports are accepted by all major Dutch banks, notaries and accountants for mortgages and property transfers.
🔄
Every 5 years
An MJOP must be updated at least every 5 years. An older plan is no longer accepted by banks or notaries as valid proof of reserve fund management.
